Intensive English (ESL)
Nomen Global’s Intensive English is a unique program that that includes classes focusing on integrated skills as well as supplemental classes focusing on grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking for each level. there are two possibel tracks for Intensive English -- Gateway and Alliance. Our Gateway program track is the most in-depth English study available for ESL students at Nomen Global. This intensive 18 hour per week program is for individuals who want to study in the United States and experience the language and culture first-hand. Alliance has been designed for local students who are currently living or touring in the United States and want to dramatically improve their English skills. Students in the Alliance program typically have the goal of improving spoken English to help them thrive while living/working in the United States. These students are not on student visas, and are therefore not held to the same rigorous requirements as Gateway Students. Alliance classes are typically 9 – 10.5 hours per week (though some alliance students may take on a slightly heavier course-load).
LSAT® Prep Class
As part of Level 7, the LSAT Test Preparation class is designed to assist students seeking admission to Law School prepare for the LSAT exam. Students participate in text-based drills and test simulations. This course seeks to support ESL students in their understanding of the LSAT in terms of Analytical Writing, advanced English Grammar rules, and Reading Comprehension. Within that umbrella, the goals of the LSAT test preparation class are to familiarize students with various sections of the LSAT exam, the structure of the test items they will be facing, a variety of strategies they can apply to ferret out the best answer to a test item, sources for practice beyond the exercises found in their preferred text books.
TOEFL® Prep class
As part of Level 6, Nomen Global’s TOEFL® Preparation class is designed to prepare students to achieve qualifying scores on the TOEFL® iBT and develop basic language skills for academic success in a university setting. Students learn test-taking strategies and skills specific to the TOEFL® and continue to improve English-proficiency through separate Level 6 classes in grammar and extensive reading. The class includes extensive writing practice for both the integrated and independent writing tasks. In addition, a computer lab is available for after-school extensive writing practice for both the integrated and independent writing tasks, as well as for practice with specific sections of the test.
GRE® Prep Class
As part of Level 7, Nomen Global's GRE® class is designed to prepare students to achieve qualifying scores on the GRE® test. If attending graduate school at an American university is in your future, the GRE® probably is, too. This class, along with other Level 7 classes, prepares students for the GRE® test by focusing on the following areas of study:

GRE® Verbal Component
GRE® Practice Lab
Applied English Grammar(a separate Level 7 class)
Advanced Writing Workshop (a separate Level 7 class)
Critical Reading (a separate Level 7 class)
